Hi All,
I currently use HSBC in India, and frankly they're rubbish. I was hoping to move to a new bank, and I ran across SC's Emirates Platinum card, which actually looks enticing (India).
Has anyone used this/heard good things (or bad) about this? I'm not sure if this was the right place to post this.. but mod please move if not.
I always try to fly Emirates, they're the better airlines of the lot, the other ones I travel on are Jetair, Malaysian, and Air Asia depending on routes. I already have a skywards account - but I'd like to accrue my spending towards skyward points for free upgrades and flights.. or just to accrue points for when needed.
Details -

Option 1 - Pay Rs 13,000/year ($216 roughly) and you get bonus 24,750 Emirates points per year. I saw emirates charges Rs 50,000 for 25,000 Emirates points otherwise.
Option 2 - Pay Rs 3,000/year ($50 roughtly) and you get bonus 0 Emirates points, but points accrue regular.
It's 4 Skyward points per Rs 150 spent ($2.5), or essentially $0.63 per skyward points, at 3.1% interest/month.
THoughts?
