I prefer main terminal security vs. midfield. There is no PreCheck or priority line in the midfield area, so you may be stuck in those lines for quite some time.

PreCheck in the main terminal shouldn't be too bad in the mid-afternoon and then you're only 1~ train stop away from the LH lounge.
