In the past I would have fun playing float when the banks paid interest but this is certainly not worth triggering a FR or a late payment even if reversed.

This just happened (where I paid my Amex Costco on the due date at 11:30 pm MST). The late fee was charged the next day (with a post date of the due date), but it was automatically backed out the next day.
