I scrounged around a bit here and in the Asia Travel forum but couldn't quite get this answered. I arrive HKG 7:30 AM (KA) and leave the next morning at 8:30 AM (DL, to NRT). I want to dump my bag for the evening. My options in order of preference: Check it at the DL counter when I arrive. The counter work for the flight to NRT would have just finished up at that point but they would have to house the bag for nearly 24 hrs and I would have to officially checked in for the next morning for them to take the bag. Next option is to haul it out of the airport and leave it at the Airport Express Delta check-in downtown. Again, I am not even sure if they are open for business there because it will be ca. 23 hrs ahead of departure, and again I assume they would have to officially check me in for the next day's flight. Anybody know what time I can check in downtown for the flight? 18 hrs ahead maybe? Less appealing alternatives: leave it at Left Luggage, either at the airport or at the Airport Express station and pick it up the next morning. I'm a cheapskate so the Left Luggage option doesn't appeal to me - probably costs quite a bit to leave it overnight, if they even have a provision for that.
