i think "less conformist" is rarely if ever a good/solid argument. while "pushing boundaries" could be, in theory, i think "West" pushes boundaries in extremely few areas. is extremely few still more than many places? definitely. but numerical comparison becomes less dramatic. and area (not place) matters.
