A couple of questions:

1) Is a 2 hour layover at HKG sufficient for making the connection (we'll have plenty of time for the Wing before the return HKG - DFW - especially since the upgrade is looking questionable - so that's not the primary concern here)

2) I assume despite separate PNRs for EWR - DFW - HKG and HKG - SIN (the two tickets were booked separately as an EWR - HKG return and HKG - SIN return) that I can interline our bags all the way to SIN (especially with an AA ---> CX connection) eliminating the need to collect at HKG

3) I am OWE but my sister, who I'm traveling with, is not. Does my OWE extend to her for booking exit row seats (or other "priority" seats) on CX? If so do I just need to call?

4) Last but not least - what would be the best two seats on an A333 in Y (as of know it's showing regional one way and long-haul config for the return but I know swaps do occur frequently on this route)?

Thanks all - this will be my first CX experience (and hopefully my only one in Y - next time I'll be on miles earned from this trip in F instead )
Two hours is plenty of time for your connection, you should have around an hour of clear 'free time' to enjoy the lounge even! (although depending on where your next flight leaves from, you may prefer to choose a business class lounge if the First class one is miles away).

Cathay pacific did NOT extend exit row seating to my travelling companion last month, but they were on a separate PNR. But certainly worth trying to see what they will do if you call.

through check of bags should be no problem. present both tickets at your first check-in.

best seat for 2? exit rows obviously, but failing that, the configuration in 2-4-2, so really any double seat is just fine. You can refine your preference further to be front/rear/close to WC or whatever as your needs dictate.
