I've traveled enough to say that I ought to know better - and to keep a closer eye on bookings.

There's plenty of *A flights with reasonable prices, but that means I don't get up to the hallowed BA Gold status this year...

I'll call AA in the morning and see what they can help me out together to get there and back at sensible cost.
