The profit is nice, however it is too early to credit Parker and his team. The merger is still in its early stages and many significant tests are coming. Including what I consider the biggest challenge: integrating the AA and US IT systems into one. How Parker et al handles that will say a lot on where the merged airline is headed.

Remember, UA/CO was doing well until they moved to a single IT system, then their performance tanked quickly.
