If the lounge is mobbed then I'll just go and sit in the departure lounge. To be honest, travelling through Gatwick is a bit of a novelty for me anyway and brings back lots of happy childhood memories.
You'll be fine as there are only 4 of you on your flight trying to get in during the evening when there are only European destinations still going from LGW.
Looking at the 2772 flights (with the higher JER groups) there are 5 flights going to either the US or Caribbean between 10:00 and 12:00 so some of those will have F cabins...will check into that for likely numbers.
