They use a really poor ground handling contractor and 30-35 minutes is the norm. A lot of the time your a la carte bags will also be sent to carousel as they can't be bothered to drag them up to the jetbridge. Not sure if AS would give you the baggage guarantee on an a la carte bag that takes more than 20 minutes to get to the carousel though
