This relates to phone bookings and service fees.
If you go to the
global service fee page here and select UK, purchase a ticket, call one of our call centres, and longhaul there is a service fee of £5. I can't see there is any exemption for golds or even GGLs. Is this new or have I just missed it before?
exEU to SFO back in June for March 2015 I wasn't charged it although I was charged a £4.50 cc surcharge, but when I made an exUK WT+ booking combined with a GUF1 at the start of July I was charged the £5 service charge but no cc surcharge. Looking at another exEU booking to HNL made in August 2013 I was only charged the cc surcharge of £4.50.
Net result therefore seems to be a 50p rise for me going forward with phone bookings.
