I've got 2 nights in Sydney and thinking of staying near the airport since I have a morning flight out on the leaving day, and also don't want to hire a car unnecessarily.

I want to be able to get in and out of the city in the evenings - is there a metro nearby (walking distance)?

Any recommendations? I'd prefer a US chain but not essential. I would want a hotel with an airport terminal shuttle.
