I had a similar moment of realization when they left *A - but my flights were only domestic from GRU to POA.
Left on March 21st, returned on April 4th - completely forgetting the departure and being shocked with all the OW branding they'd printed in black and white to cover *A logos.
If you have membership with a OW loyalty program, then you can claim the return segments with them for both mileage and status miles.
