For me the more interesting question is why this is so rare on the BA network. I'm always amazed when looking at ftdashboard how many different destinations a particular aircraft might serve in a given week. Clearly a very complex operation, although I guess we may see more consistency as the fleet fragments into smaller sub-fleets (787, OF747 etc) which are dedicated to particular routes.
