Well, no, the answer is far from obvious. Your point is valid. 3x @ 1.6 is 4.8%, and that is a very solid value. In general, I get a minimum 2.5 cents per point out of my UR points (through transfers to UA, BA, and occasionally Hyatt). To me, 2 UR points are worth 5 cents. 3 TY points are worth 4.8 cents. It's fairly comparable. Again, these are the personal values I assign to the points.
The big thing for me is that Citi practically gives away points. I earn 36K TY points a year just for having my bank accounts with Citi, no spend required. I earn TY points at 2-3x the rate I earn UR points, so 9 times out of 10, I pull out the CSP over the Prestige.
