Of course you should pursue if you feel that you were given something different than what you told it would be. Make it short and succinct and then wait for a reply.

The likelihood is AA will not do anything but for all you know they had 200 other complaints already on it.

Why others say you deserve nothing is beyond me. If you were told one thing and not delivered you have a right to complain, however dont expect to get anything extra and if you do its a bonus.

More to the point is why do people consistently ask "should i do this" or "is it worth it"? Those questions are 100% subjective and end up creating the arguments that FT is infamous for. Make up your own mind and do it or not.
