This hotel, apparently, treats Platinums like some sort of royalty. At least that's how I felt, and I've heard similar stories before.

I visited Singapore for 4 nights and booked 2 nights at this property on points and 2 nights at the InterCon using a BOGO cert.

With no special request before my arrival I was given a suite on the Club floor with lounge access. Also got plenty of water bottles throughout my stay, fresh apples every day, one drink coupon (single guest) and one 50%-off voucher to use on a room service order thanks to a 'pick-a-card' type promo during check-in (which I found to be very funny).

The suite was large, well designed and had great view. Not in a standard one can expect from an HI property. I liked it so much that first thing the next morning after check-in I asked if I could keep the suite for an extra two nights if I made another reservation. They said yes, and I cancelled my reservation over at the IC and booked two more nights on points (25K/night).

Superb experience. Nice hotel, friendly and helpful staff, perfect treatment for elite members but only an OK lounge. Location can be better, sure, but taxis in Singapore are cheap so it's not really an issue. Highly recommended hotel in my book.
