Is this worth pursuing for cancelled flights?
Hi and sorry in advance if I am posting in the wrong area. I am looking for 'experienced' opinions on filing complaints.
The short version of this story is that we were scheduled to return home on a Sunday night and the flight was cancelled. 2 flights and 2 days later we got hom Tuesday afternoon. It was my spouse, i and our two young children. AA did pay for our meals and hotel however at the desk in our country of departure the AA rep gave us vouchers that stated "do not exceed $1000". We asked 'are these worth $1000 credit?" "YES" she said, so we accepted the vouchers. Now, 4 months later when trying to book another flight through AA we are told the vouchers are only $50 each. We never would have accepted this. We both lost 2 days of employement and vacation time. I went throught AA customer service complaint system and they responded basically saying they are doing nothing. When searching online it suggests to go to the BBB. Does anyone have any advice? Are we SOL?
Thanks
