Hmmm, possibly good deal, but yes sounds fishy how obtained. I guess could have won in a contest...
You could book an economy ticket and cancel within 24hrs - the amount used from the gift card goes back onto the same gift card but it takes 4-6 weeks for that to occur (and thus 4-6 weeks until you can use that gift card again if you used up the entire amount). So the gift card will always be linked to credit card that was used to purchase it.
