I have also taken the LAX-KOA flight many times. If you're lucky, the old 757 will have drop down overhead monitors that show a movie, but the seats and feel of the plane are old. It's not horrible in F, certainly better than coach, but it's not exactly what you would expect on such a long flight. (Better equipment flies the routes into HNL.) I have also usually found the FA's to be very nice on this flight. I love getting off that flight, walking down the staircase onto the tarmac, and having that warm Kona wind hit me!
