Typhoon MATMO and TPE ops
Have a colleague currently on the way to SFO to take UA from SFO-TPE in about 4 hours.
Flight is scheduled to land Tuesday around 7p, with Typhoon Matmo expected to make landfall around midnight as a Category 3 hurricane.
The plane is scheduled to overnight in Taipei, then operate TPE-SFO on Wednesday.
So far, it's still on time...but United seriously wouldn't send a plane into an expected Category 3 hurricane...would it?
