My preference too is for HOTB - I posted pictures of the large suite I rec in the hotb thread. The HOTB lounge is better than GH IMHO and if you get a suite, you are entitled to breakfast for 2 at the restaurant which is very good. Note the subway from GH is at least a 5 to 10 min walk depending on how fast u walk. True, HOTB requires taxi but they are dirt cheap - especially for a family of 4. I think the rate was 15 rmb for the first 3 KM which covers lots of area in shanghai from HOTB. The biggest risk are the taxi drivers who are reckless and you may need to shut your eyes and pray
