I've only stayed at HOTB, but spend a fair amount of time in the other Hyatts. In any case, one doesn't need to stay in a Hyatt to know understand that Lujiazui is sterile/boring. One of the biggest mistakes I made in my China career to date was living over there for a year because I found a really nice apartment. Crossing the river in the evening is a royal PITA no matter how you slice it, and everything worth seeing/doing is on the other side of the river.
