First time Delta flyer: advice/tips for JFK-LAX-KOA?

Hello all,

I was hoping to get some advice from regular Delta flyers! I usually am a BA-flyer but am flying Delta for the first time in September and have managed to get a great deal on JFK-LAX (in J) and connecting LAX-KOA (in F) for a week away in Hawaii (same plan for the return leg). However, I’m wondering if frequent delta flyers can offer advice in term of maximising the experience? I have approx. 3 hours to change plans in LAX so hoping that will be plenty. Finding conflicting information about Sky Club access however: will I be entitled to lounge access in JFK/LAX/KOA without status/Sky Club membership myself?

Any other advice on enjoying the experience on board or other tips also very much appreciated!

Mods/fellow FT’ers - Apologies if there is a thread for this already but a search didn’t immediately reveal anything. I have found some very useful information on here already in terms of IDB/VDB and on-board menus but some of the other threads are a bit older so didn’t want to re-hash old topics!

Thanks,
