I want to go back and open up the card. The only thing I'm nervous about is it being a citi card. I have a derogotory on my credit report, from a small medical bill that I forgot about. Careless and lazy I know. The banks I have the longest history with have still been giving me new accounts, like Chase and Wells Fargo. Barclays too even though I have no history with them. Citi and Amex both declined my apps for a Citi Hilton and SPG sighting the derogatory. Thankfully Amex let me convert my oldest card a crappy delta card (24,000 CL haha) to the SPG and even gave me the bonus. But I'm nervous about wasting a hard pull on citi. I'm guessing the Best Buy has a lower credit requirement than the Hilton. Can anyone verify? My payment history other than that derogatory is perfect which is why I think I've been able to open accounts elsewhere.
