Being a life long Sioux City resident that is a day I'll never forget. It still amazes me that they kept the plane from turning turtle and nose diving into the farmland below let alone managed to somehow find the airport and put the aircraft in position to touch down on the center line of had the right wing not dipped.
Even though I've flown out of here many times a few years ago I left on July 19 and it was kinda eerie taxiing to runway 17 knowing we'd pass the intersection of runway 22 and the area where 232 came to rest.
