Just thought I'd share my recent experience regarding a Tesco>BAEC transfer.

Like many people I am saving my cc points until I need them in the (faint) hope of a transfer bonus. Well no sign of one and I needed to transfer alot of cc points for a one way HKG>LHR for 2 in CX F. Transferred about £500 of cc points and thought it would go through overnight or possibly a couple of days.

It took a month! Luckily I was very flexible on dates but it could have screwed my plans badly. It was referred for extra security checks because it was a high value transfer. I was told they were checking my points were earned legally.

So in future I will probably try to split any larger transfers into smaller amounts over a few days. My cc points were earned legally and I've never abused the system but I'd still rather not have someone from cc poking about looking for something. Plus there is the huge delay in the transfer going through.

And yes before anyone mentions it I am aware of the terms and conditions.
