The business travelers (i.e. someone else is buying their tickets) are drastically less effected I suspect. The ones that I know meet and exceed this spend easily out of Houston.
I'm out. I knew it the day they announced it. This year they've made it pretty easy for me to not care too much any more. The upgrades are nearly non-existant. I can't get a CR1 or SWU to clear. They give less. I give less. Flying with UA down 50% this year. Come March 1st next year, I'm out entirely. I'm glad I won't be 1K next year.
Yep, PQD requirements don't even begin to impact me. And I'm LAX based so it's not even fortress pricing. Just almost all last minute business trips.
