Unless the suit is in a heavy duty suit bag, I would not want it hung in a closet (and that presumes that the aircraft has a closet). People shove stuff in those, there may be sharp objects and it may be dirty. Far better to tightly roll it in a carry on and let the wrinkles, if any, sort themselves out on arrival or, have the suit pressed if it's a mess.
