Someone with more MSP experience should be able to give more detailed info re getting from 1 to the other.
C to G is gonna be pretty tight in 40 minutes with someone who doesn't move fast.
That said, if your BWI/MSP flight is indeed an A320, they can arrive almost anywhere from C to D to F to G. If your LAX flight is a B763, I'd say it's likely to stay at G. F to G, or, of course, G to G would be your best case scenario.
