Can you elaborate as to how short your connecting time is, and where you're originating and flying to, as to determine, possibly, if you will have to connect from a commuter gate to a mainline aircraft. This would give us an idea as to - possibly - how far the gates might be at MSP. For example, if you're arriving at C concourse and leaving from F, it could be quite a hoof!
