Admittedly this wasn't on a 241, but when I took an AA flight from LAX-SFO in March as part of a BA CW booking (LHR-EWR on BA, LAX-SFO on AA, SEA-LHR on BA) I was expecting to have to pay for my checked bag, but when I used a kiosk at LAX, it said I had 2 free bags as per CW allowance. The same might apply to you.
