Just a quick question about some dates in NYC. I am looking for a place for 3 nights (August 4-7) and the prices are quiet inflated (even for NYC!) I paid $299 for the W times square 2 months ago. I just looked and these are the prices quoted (per night, no taxes incl.)

Does it seem strange that the 4 PTS are priced in line with the W hotels? I have been to NYC many times and have not encountered this before. Wondering if this is the "new normal"?
