Wow, that experience in its entirety is truly astonishing and unacceptable. Personally, I do think this would be a dealbreaker as far as continuing my relationship with that card product.

Unfortunately, I was pickpocketed in Barcelona a few weeks ago. I had only a Citi and WF card in my wallet, and both banks were very efficient (less than 5 min phone call each) in cancelling the cards (immediately) and sending out replacements (to my home, as I was headed back the next day anyway). As in the past, using Skype over my hotel room's wi-fi connection was a lifesaver-- there isn't even a charge to call US toll free numbers over Skype.

Citi overnighted the card... but I was a little surprised that WF said they could, but only if I paid , which I declined to
