I encouraged my state senator to fight for a level playing field. Either taxi and other livery drivers should be exempt from current legislation requiring licensing and taxation, or all drivers of similar services should continue to be subject to licensing and taxation requirements. It is morally unethical and legally unjust to subject one party to an unfair disadvantage while not enforcing those same regulations on their competitors.
