3 flights booked on EVA's new 777 but all changed to old planes
I had 3 business class flights in two weeks, originally scheduled with EVA's new 777 jets (Jakarta and Macau), but all 3 got changed to 332 or 747 a few days before departure. The products are drastically different and yet they do this schedule change so casually. One flight the 4 of us initially could have taken a much cheaper option but each paid $133 extra in order to try this new 777 and it turned out to be a waste of money. Upon calling the customer service, all they could say is that they apologize for the plane change and hope we can accept "a pen" as an apology. I understand plane change happens but this is just too frequent. In fact, when I booked in June, all scheduled flights for this whole month are shown as 777, but most of them were flown with old planes. I was wondering where they got all the 777. It seems like they are just using the 777 to bait us. I refused the "pen" offer and was hoping she would accept my counter offer of a pen and put the 777 back on my scheduled flights.
