Typically on Air Canada about 4 out of 10 flights ditch into one of the great lakes so the odds are that 60% of the time you will be fine. I find in my experience with US carriers that 9 out of 10 flights land in Lake Ontario. Normally we are OK, and swim to shore with our luggage, there has only been a handful of flights where more than 10 people died so it's not that important.
