We're ranking the churches now? What's a 3rd tier church? Is it comparable to the 3rd tier law school I attended?

There's a ton more to see in Pisa than are being discussed in this thread if you're into architecture or sculpture. Sure, if you want to pop over and take a picture pretending to hold up the tower, why not? It's better than milling around the airport for 5 hours. Better to see something than nothing.
