Unfortunately, to my detriment,you may be correct.

I try to live honorably. I presume I could have divulged nothing about the ex and my position would have been stronger.

I mistakenly thought that AA would have accommodated me as a valued customer. Most American firms are good about things like this if one has a history with them.
