I am looking at it as foreplanning in that I won't have a long transit time combined with the need to fill up the nicotine pouches between flights, and reading on here about the space available in the available "lounge" so could do the right thing and make some space by vacating it albeit with a bottle of water......
On a more serious note, drinks tend to be delivered by staff in the form of a glass, so you don't actually have a 'buffet' of bottles to relieve. Secondly, you're in the Middle east where the relieving of products tends to be frowned upon, even if you are trying to do them a favour by creating space in the lounge. I think I'd probably explain the situation (you're in a hurry) & ask for a small bottle to take with you, shouldn't be a problem.

The lounges do tend to get busy, but then again so did the PT at peak times. They're not that bad, certainly acceptable until the proper lounges open. Don't be fooled by the small buffets, ask for a menu.
