Long time reader, first time poster so please bear with me

I have roughly 10K BAEC miles (Blue) Household account with my wife.

With my AMEX MMR i have 115,000 points- willing to use these for avios points.

We will be flying regularly to YYC to visit the in-laws and want to obviously maximise our BAEC miles and increase our tier points.

When i check with flight award availability (upgrade with money and use avios to upgrade) i cannot seem to see any upgrades available when flying in WT+ and "upgrading using avios" to Club World.

why is this? Could you also let me know what final taxes come to as it doesn't show me!

When trying to upgrade from world traveller to WT+ it shows availability in april/may etc (25K to upgrade).

From reading the forums i see this is the best way to use my avios points instead of doing a straight avios only redemption as the taxes are absurd!!

On the plus side i will be able to fly on the 787 dreamliner as it serves the YYC route from LHR.
