Flying MRS-LHR-ORD, booked through corporate travel agent. Both, MRS-LHR and LHR-ORD segments are operated by BA. The MRS-LHR segment was originally ticketed as AA codeshare while the LHR-ORD segment was originally ticketed as BA.

After regular monitoring of the BA site for F award availability, and several calls to the EXP line, I finally found an agent that was familiar enough with the process to push the upgrade through. It truly must be a "perfect storm" to get this far into the upgrade process.

Not fully there yet, though... The AA website shows my trip status as "On Request," and has since the EXP line processed the upgrade roughly 12 hours ago. Everything looks ok on the BA website and I have been able to reserve my seat in First.

Is this "On Request" status on AA's website anything to be concerned about? What trouble might I run into if it hasn't "Ticketed" by the time I go to the airport in a few days?
