What an interesting thread! I personally couldn't give 2 hoots about titles but that is probably because I am not 'non standard'.......
I'm a Mrs but personally I hate being called Mrs H, I much prefer Sara H, I'm all for informality!

Recently I have noticed workplace titles going crazy, we now have so many 'directors' in my organisation that at times it's difficult to tell who is actually more senior. Sales reps became account managers and now they are all account directors, not to mention the many other directors of this, that, the other and of pencil sharpening, where does it end?
