Everyone here is saying this incident is unacceptable and something should be done... yet nobody wants to be quoted by the media.

If you don't want media to help, then you can expect AC to have full denial in a few days... The AC management will simply say "hmm... we were never advised of this incident by the computer team so it never occured". "....and no, we don't keep records that old so there is no way to prove it, etc."
