So I was able to use my DSU for a suite for 3 nights during a major holiday period in Thailand. My first try at using a DSU and happy with the results.
I requested a family rate so I could get a connecting room but becuase of the Thai holidays and the hotel being booked they couldn't offer the family rate for a 2nd connecting room. However, it didn't matter since the suite could fit two roll-aways and they converted the couch to sleep on so all three kids had there own bed to sleep in with still plenty of room and we could close the door between the room and the kids area. I have not come accross many suites which I could fit all three of my kids in S.E. Asia. Just which the main area had a half bath so the kids didn't have to come to the bathroom in our room.
Don't think I saw the GM during our stay, based on other comments I guess he was on holiday or something during my stay.
I'm not a big spa guy but they had buy one get one free for diamonds. My wife got a 90 minute massage so that ment I got one as well. I must say the experince was outstanding, I would highly recommend trying it out! Two 90 minute massages for only $120 US was not bad. I know you can go outside the gate and get a massage for about $10 US but I think the experince at the Hyatt was tops.
BTW the reno's are still not completed. It looks like at least three wings are still under reno. I thought they would be completed by now but I think they are going to need all the time up to July 31 to complete the reno's.
