There is a work around but it is a little cumbersome. Search for the city.location for the date you want but choose my dates are flexible. Search. You can than look at each hotel one by one for the lowest average cost and total room cost on a calendar for any month going forward (Up to where they are taking bookings from)

For instance I searched NYC for check in 7 14 for 3 days. Check flexible box. First hotel on the list was the Courtyard on E40th. It brings up a calendar for the rest of July (and I can click to go to the next month, etc) Lowest average nights was $234.33 on Friday 7 18 2014 with total cost 703. You can than use the back button to go to the next hotel. If you have specific travel dates the process goes quicker because you only have to check one date.


Just saw the OP had specific date. First group of hotels searching new york city. These are rack rates. You can also repeat the process with things like AAA, AARP, rate codes, corporate codes. It helps if you have a few properties in mind to start. I am not sure if location or price is the most important thing to OP.
