Considering the number of people that have been hurt in Israel so far (and I sincerely hope it stays that way or improves), it's probably safer than some other BA destinations. That said, life is somewhat disrupted and being a tourist at this time in TLV is probably not be the best fun in the world. I assume some business people are also playing it safe which is understandable. Does provide opportunity for award redemption for those that are not risk averse!
Right now maybe, but given recent history in the area it won't take much for it to break out into open warfare once again. Especially with Israel mobilising tens of thousands of troops ready for a possible ground invasion.
Unless you have a specific reason to need to be in Israel right now, it's probably a prudent decision to avoid the country for the immediate future!
