I've had some bad luck regarding an AirTran flight my girlfriend took last August 2013 MCO-MSP. It was booked on Southwest.com using my Rapid Rewards account.
The flight was delayed for over five hours due to maintenance issues (at one point passengers had to de-plane) and each passenger was promised a voucher for a free trip on AirTran and were told that they could use their confirmation number when booking the ticket online or over the phone. The flight arrived in Minneapolis at 2 AM (after originally intending to arrive around 7-8 PM)
I've since had no luck at attempting to convince anyone on the phone with either AirTran or Southwest that this voucher was promised to passengers. I tried submitting the request on Southwest's
Travel Funds page but it prompts me to contact AirTran.
I gave up on it for awhile, but I took another stab at it last month when I decided to contact Southwest customer service e-mail and explain the entire story. I received an e-mail that I need to call AirTran customer service, which I've already tried to do in the past with no luck.
I'd like to give it one final shot with AirTran but I'd rather explain my story in writing at this point. I've googled around endlessly for direct AirTran e-mails and customer service department names since their website seems to be the same exact form/submission to Southwest that I did a couple weeks ago. Does anyone have any ideas for finding direct contacts with AirTran?
It's not the biggest deal in the world, but a voucher was promised, so I don't see why I should easily let them off the hook for that...
