So, this is something new today.
Got some Amex GCs and went to Target to load. Swiped the first Amex GC, and then the terminal came back with a message saying "Card Not Approved." Tried the other Amex GCs, still came back with the same message. Felt weird, and then went to a different Target to give it a try. However, still the same "Card Not Approved" message popping up after just the first swipe. I've even tried to have the cashier just try to take the exact amount before I swiped, still the same thing, "Card Not Approved."
Later got home, and tried to check the cards with my computer. Apparently there was no activity after the value was loaded. It seems like a POS rejection on loading with Amex GCs...I did just load the same way 5 days ago, and it was pretty smooth. Anybody encountering the same thing? Hopefully it's just a glitch for the day. Btw, this is in CA.
I tried to to do a load at a Target in So Cal yesterday and my Chase card was declined. Figured it was a fraud alert so I just left. Checked my Chase card and there was no authorization so it seems like it never went through. Maybe there was a glitch yesterday. Also I was trying to load $1k and cashier put it n and it came back and said I can only load $500. I double checked my load dates and I should have been able to load $1k, so not sure what was going on.
