I was thinking of simply staying 2 days there and then have a long layover in GUM and NRT on the way back, and perhaps stay longer with Same day changes..

Not that much in Manilla that I can find from a quick look. So far, I plan on sleeping in the first morning after the semi-brutal flights in Y and general sightseeing around town. Maybe a trip to the volcano the next day. Does anyone have a suggestion of what to do in town or a day trip??
I'm thinking of flying to Brunei for one night to see what's there. Not a top tourist attraction but a country I probably wouldn't go to otherwise.
By the way, the Hyatt will not be a Hyatt in January so no loyalty benefits or stay credit.
Also, I'm booked to come back through DEN from HNL on 2/2.
